Forest Hills CPA joins national accountancy board

Stephen F. Langowski, CPA, from Forest Hills, has joined the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).

He will serve as the board’s northeast regional director. Langowski was installed during NASBA’s 112th annual meeting on October 27-30 in Boston.

In addition to his role as northeast regional director, Langowski will serve as a member of the Relations with Member Boards Committee, as well as chair of its Compliance Assurance Committee.

Langowski began his career in 1979 at Ernst & Young. He retired from KPMG’s Asset Management practice after 25 years of audit and advisory services in the public sector.

He joined the New York State of CPAs in 1981, and has served as its president, vice president and member of the executive and finance committees.
