Author book-signing and tea party this weekend

Does your child love to read? You can take them to a book signing this weekend in Forest Hills.
Obioma Nwokolo, who is the author of the Princess Omalie series, is hosting a book-signing and tea party event.
The Princess Omalie series is based on the dolls she also designed, which she talked about in the Forest Hills Times. Nwokolo has woven a rich history of heritage and placed an emphasis on family for each doll and the books take on adventure and learning inner beauty.
She encourages children to attend the event in order to learn more about the characters and themselves.
The event will take place on Sunday, November 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Theater Cafe, 106-05 Metropolitan Avenue.
