Robbery pattern established in Forest Hills area

On Tuesday, February 28, a 53-year-old woman was attacked and robbed in Forest Hills.
According to police, the suspect stepped out of a blue four-door sedan and approached the woman around 5:45 p.m. He then struck the woman’s head from behind with a blunt object. The woman fell to the ground unconscious in front of 70-47 Harrow Street. When she awoke, her purse was stolen. The purse contained 4 debit cards, 2 credit cards and $51 in cash.
The woman was taken to Forest Hills Hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police believe that the incident is part of a robbery pattern. Around 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, an 82-year-old woman was also hit on the head with a blunt object which knocked her to the ground. The victim sustained similar injuries, lacerations to the back of her head. Her purse was also stolen.
Anther victim, a 63-year-old woman, was approached by a man on the corner of 65th Avenue and 99th Street on Wednesday, January 18 around 8:20 p.m. The suspect pulled out a knife and then punched the woman in the face before removing her purse, which contained an iPhone and credit. The suspect then fled the scene on foot going towards 102nd Street. The victim suffered bruising to the face.
The suspect is described as a 6’0″ black male with a medium build and a dark colored sweatshirt.
