Forest Hills Gardens among most expensive neighborhoods in the city

Forest Hills Gardens continues to be the most expensive neighborhood in Queens. But according to Property Shark’s list of the 50 most expensive neighborhoods, the neighborhood is also more expensive than a few Manhattan neighborhoods that you wouldn’t quite expect.

Overall, Forest Hills Gardens came in at 11th place, right after Manhattan’s Carnegie Hill but before the Theatre District – Times Square.

With a median sale price of $1,562,500, Forest Hills Gardens is also more expensive than Brooklyn’s Carroll Gardens ($1,430,000) and Brooklyn Heights ($1,024,500) as well as the West Village ($1,192,500) and the Upper West Side ($1,200,000).

Forest Hills Gardens is the only Queens neighborhood within the top 15 most expensive neighborhoods in the city. The next most expensive Queens neighborhood is Hunter Point, which came in at spot #33 on the list with a median sale price of $946,973.
