As the unofficial start to summertime in Forest Hills, get ready for the 2016 Forest Hills Festival of the Arts. The street festival, which will occur from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, features over 200 small businesses from around the Forest Hills area as well as various vendors selling jewelry and clothing. There will also be artisanal crafts, entertainment for all ages and delicious food and drink options. The festival takes place along Austin Street between 69th Road and 72nd Road.
Featured performers include the Music School of New York, Big Daddy Bruce Wayne and Kaila Powerz. Food vendors include Karl’s Balls (Japanese cuisine), a beer garden and a wine garden. Clothing and accessories vendors include Marikit Designs and Paradox Thrift.
