It’s been a while since the Forest Hills arsonist has last struck. But that doesn’t mean that the community has gotten over the horrifying attacks that littered the end of last year. In fact, the police are still looking for the mysterious suspect.
At the Community Board 6 meeting, Deputy Inspector Judith Harrison of the 112th Precinct noted that while crime had gone down significantly in 2015, the year had been overshadowed by the case of the arsonist. Between November 8th and December 5th, the arsonist set 7 under-construction homes on fire.
The NYPD have not found the identity of the suspect yet. The reward money for anyone who has information that would lead to the capture of the arsonist has jumped to $62,500. You can call CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-577-8477.
