Forest Hills Memorial Day Parade Kickoff at the Legion
Views: 0
The Kiwanis of Forest Hills and American Legion Continental Post 1424 held their first kickoff event to raise funds for the 2014 Memorial Day Parade at the Legion on Metropolitan Avenue last night.
Kiwanis members introduced the parade’s grand marshals; Our Lady of Mercy Monsignor John McGuirl, Community Board 6 chair Joseph Hennessy and commissioner of the mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs Terrance Holliday.
With the parade just one month away – scheduled for May 25 at 12 p.m. at the Legion – the Kiwanis Club is continuing to raise funding for the event as they prepare for what they hope will be yet another successful year.
