Longtime Family Business Offers Dental Care & Aesthetic Treatments

This family business is located in the heart of Forest Hills in a 69-02 Austin Street storefront, and has been improving countless lives since February 2004. Queens residents Dr. Oleg Vinson, DDS and his wife Agnessa Vinson, RDH, were born in Moscow. They immigrated with their parents when they were in their late teens, and over 35 years ago, envisioned fulfilling the American Dream. Their success story continued as they raised a son and a daughter, who graduated from local public schools and are currently pursuing their studies at St. John’s University.

Most recently, the couple celebrated 21 years as a private practice. Agnessa Vinson reminisced, “After spending years gaining valuable experience in our field, working for leading doctors in Manhattan, we decided to work for ourselves. Although we previously practiced in different office locations, Forest Hills has always been our home personally and professionally, as it is the neighborhood where we live and love. We met while studying at NYU College of Dentistry, and since then, we have been partners in life and work, continually growing, creating, and expanding together. With each of us having nearly 30 years of experience, we are dedicated toward staying at the forefront of dental care through continuing education.”

The couple strives to achieve an increasingly successful experience for every patient’s visit. Over the years, much rapport has been established, and the confidence contributed to enhancing and diversifying the treatments that are offered. “As a result of our patients’ requests, we have expanded into offering aesthetic treatments,” said Dr. Vinson.

Additionally, as licensed medical professionals, we are uniquely positioned to offer a wide range of aesthetic treatments, such as laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and Botox, bringing a comprehensive, health-focused approach to dental and facial aesthetics.”

Dr. Vinson has developed an in-depth knowledge of facial and neck anatomy, which uniquely positions him to offer Botox and dermal fillers with safety and precision. Agnessa explained, “As a dentist, he understands the balance and function of facial muscles, allowing him to enhance not only the smile, but the overall facial harmony. When combined with cosmetic dental treatments, these aesthetic services help complete a beautiful, natural-looking smile makeover.” Additionally, Agnessa is a licensed cosmetologist and certified laser specialist by the Berkowits School of Esthetics, an accredited institution in Forest Hills.

Duo Dental & Laser Spa accommodates Karmina Beauty Clinic, owned by Karmina Lacku, a valued partner and friend for over seven years. She is a licensed esthetician and permanent makeup artist, and a certified phlebotomist, who offers facials and permanent makeup, which entails microblading, and eyebrow and eyeliner tattoos. Karmina resides in Forest Hills with her husband and two children. She speaks Serbian, Croatian, Spanish, and Romanian, which adds to the cultural backgrounds within the practice, complementing a diverse clientele. She takes pride in education and practice, and travels routinely to Europe to further master her skills through the expertise of foremost industry professionals.

When one thinks about a dental visit, stress often emerges, but environmental factors can play a great role in alleviating stress. In addition to the couple’s medical procedures entailing creativity, they can be considered visual artists after designing their dental and aesthetic spa as a team. Their goal was to produce a modern, luxurious, and welcoming environment that eases patients from the moment they step inside.
