Tomorrow, July 15, at 2 p.m., Acting Queens Borough President Sharon Lee is hosting another Virtual Queens Job Recruitment Fair, as part of an initiative to connect the borough’s job seekers to available employment opportunities during the pandemic.
“As New York City enters phase three of reopening, we want Queens to be at the forefront of the economic recovery,” said Lee. “Many employers are hiring to fill jobs in key sectors of our economy, and we are pleased to have both new and returning employers to answer questions live about available jobs now, including Census jobs, support professionals and more.”
Participants and viewers will hear brief presentations from employers and recruiters seeking to fill positions in a variety of essential service fields including healthcare, transportation, retail and security.
Wednesday’s job fair will include representatives from New York City Health + Hospitals, ADAPT Community Network, Northwestern Mutual, the Child Center of New York, the Council for Airport Opportunity, Queens Center for Progress, the U.S. Census Bureau, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Watch Guard 24/7, Workforce1 and the Young Adult Institute.
Those wishing to participate in the live Q&A via Zoom must RSVP by tonight at www.queensbp.org/rsvp. The Job Recruitment Fair will also be streamed live to the public at www.queensbp.org/
