“Jimmy and I decided to open La Rotisserie du Coin when we realized we weren’t able to find any rotisserie chicken that we used to find on every corner back home in France,” says Sonia, who also designed the interior of the restaurant with inspiration from a 125-year-old spruce tree she handpicked in Pennsylvania. The tree’s wood was used to make material for La Rotisserie’s tables, bar tops and benches.

“We wanted to bring the concept, with the same recipes and tastes to our local neighborhood, with an authentic Parisian style and décor,” she continues. “Our goal is for our customers to take a trip to France when they walk in our doors and we will accomplish this through the design of the restaurant and taste of our delicious authentic and flavorful cuisine.”

The rotisserie is a traditional French method of roasting poultry and is part of the culinary tradition in France. The chicken is smothered with butter and a mix of spices. It is then skewered on a turning spit and cooked for one hour, leaving the meat succulent and skin a crispy golden brown.
