Forest Hills Asian Association celebrates Lunar New Year this weekend

The Forest Hills Asian Association (FHAA) will ring in the Year of the Rat this Sunday at Our Lady Queens of Martyrs (72-55 Austin St.), from 2:30 – 5 p.m.
The holiday festivities feature special performances by Chinese Culture Club at Selfhelp Austin Street Senior Center of Red Silk Dance, Qi Pao Show, Cha Cha Dance, male and female solos , male duet and a female chorus. Festive cultural wear is welcome, including children (and adults) who want to wear Mickey & Minnie Mouse attire to celebrate the Year of the Rat / Mouse. Guests are invited to bring a dish or two of food to share for potluck and to increase cultural awareness of different cuisines.
The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome . Donations accepted (red envelopes to be provided).
