Borough President Melinda Katz announced on Tuesday the start of her Holiday Toy Drive at Queens Borough Hall for families in need.
Queens residents are encouraged to donate new toys and board games for children of all ages. Toiletries will also be accepted.
Donations dropped off at Queens Borough Hall are anonymous and are not tax-deductible. At the conclusion of the Holiday Toy Drive on December 20th, the donated items will be distributed by community-based organizations to families in need across Queens, including families living at borough homeless centers.
“This is a time to rejoice with our families and give thanks for the blessings in our lives,” said Borough President Katz. “In the spirit of giving, please consider donating to make sure kids across the borough will share in the joy of this holiday season.”
Anyone interested in donating can do so by placing their item into the Holiday Toy Drive box in the lobby of Queens Borough Hall, located at120-55 Queens Boulevard in Kew Gardens.
