On Sunday, July 29th from 1:00-4:00pm at 1 Tennis Place, The West Side Tennis Club & The Stefani Forever 20 Foundation invite member and non-member participants to a very special tournament in memory of Stefani Lineva, one of the WSTC’s youngest female champions.
Stefani was a top 20 player in The United States at the age of 12 and number 1 player of the Eastern section at ages 10,12 and 14. Stefani collected over 50 trophies during her short career, many of them at National tournaments.
On December 3rd, 2016, Stefani was killed in a tragic hit and run accident. The Stefani Forever 2o Foundation was established in her memory with the goal of supporting young talent by raising awareness of the destructive effect of drugs and alcohol in teenagers and college students.
There will be Girls & Boys singles (10-18 years of age) and a yellow ball tournament with consolation draw for first round non-winners. There will also be a tennis clinic led by French Open Doubles Champ & WSTC Director of Racquet Sports Luke Jensen for Adults and Juniors.
Please note: The WSTC has a white clothing only dress and sneaker code. All clothing, hats. socks, wristbands, etc. have a 90% white requirement and tennis sneakers need to be at least 50% white. Any player not in WSTC sneaker and dress code will not be allowed to play.
To register, please email juniorprogram@foresthillstennis.com. The price is $30 per player and awards will be given for sportsmanship!
