Curaleaf NY will be hosting two “Cannabis 101” seminars on Thursday, June 14, in Kew Gardens.
The sessions are meant to provide Queens patients with information about medical cannabis and the state’s Department of Health’s medical marijuana program.
“Medical cannabis can help provide critical relief from serious and painful conditions that include cancer, PTSD and chronic pain, and it’s important that patients in Queens are aware of the treatment options available and how medical cannabis can be used in New York State,” said Michelle Bodner, CEO of PalliaTech NY, which operates the dispensary under the brand name Curaleaf New York. “We are here to serve as a resource for patients and the community, and we encourage anyone who has questions to attend these sessions to meet with our experts to learn more.”
The sessions are free and will be led by Kunal Patel, the Pharmacy Manager of Curaleaf’s Forest Hills dispensary, which opens later this summer, and Lanett Austin, Curaleaf’s Community Outreach Manager.
At the sessions, Patel and Austin will discuss the benefits of medical marijuana for patients, provide important information about medical cannabis products and review the steps for enrolling in the program.
