Kettle Corn NYC’s Mohammed Khamis, known by co-workers and customers by Mo, has passed away.

Khamis worked at the Kettle Corn NYC truck near Austin Street and 71st/Continental Ave, where he often passed out samples of popcorn. He was known for his vivacious personality and his interaction with passersby.

He died early Saturday morning after his car collided with a utility pole in New Jersey. A passenger, 20-year-old Ahmed Elnagger, also died.

In a Facebook post, the company’s owner, Ken Nercessian, wrote in a statement, “Mo, we love you very much and you will always be within our hearts.”

On the Facebook post, one woman wrote, “I remember when I was pregnant, he would always make it a point to give me samples. He always had a smile on his face.”

Another customer stated, “He was such a ray of sunshine and would always brighten up my day whenever I saw him at the truck.”

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Internet explorer. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The design look great though! Hope you get the problem solved soon. Cheers

  3. Hello there! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Thank you
