The police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man connected to a robbery that occurred a few weeks ago.
On Wednesday, January, the suspect approached a 63-year-old woman at the corner of 65th Avenue and 99th Street and showed her a knife he was carrying. The suspect then punched the woman and took her purse, which contained a credit card and an iPhone. He then fled towards 102nd Street.
The victim, who suffered bruising to the face, refused medical attention at the scene.
Police officials say the suspect is a 5’ 8″ black male wearing a dark colored sweatshirt.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
