Homeless man pushes woman down subway stairs on Christmas Eve

A woman was pushed down a flight of stairs at the 71st-Continental Avenue subway station on Christmas Eve morning.
According to police, the 54-year-old victim was pushed by a homeless man, Patt Mahony, around 9 a.m. After tumbling down about a dozen steps, she was left with a fractured elbow as well as cuts to her mouth and lip. Mahony then boarded an “E” train and proceeded to take off his clothing, according to the Daily News. Police arrested Mahony at the station.
The woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
