Queens Boulevard Main Roadway to close this weekend

Starting tonight, a portion of Queens Boulevard’s main roadway will be closed for repairs for a full 54 hours.
The Department of Transportation Division of Bridges will make “urgent repairs” to the Woodhaven Boulevard Bridge over Queens Boulevard, which will cause the closure on the main road between 57th Avenue and 62nd Drive. There will also be single-lane closures eastbound starting at Grand Avenue and westbound at Junction Boulevard. Additionally, the exit ramp from the westbound Long Island Expressway to Queens Boulevard will also be closed.
While the main roadway will be closed, service roads will remain open. There will be parking restrictions on the service road to allow two lanes of traffic.
The full closure will begin tonight, August 19, at 11 p.m. and will continue through Monday, August 22, at 5 a.m.
