Three Queens prosecutors saved the life of a man that tried to hang himself outside Queens Borough Hall on Friday.
According to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown, Assistant District Attorney Andrea M. Mauro observed a man in his late 50s/early 60s tying one end of a rope to a tree and the other around his neck at about 1 p.m. Mauro grabbed the man as the rope tightened and was joined by Assistant District Attorneys Jason S. Trager and Gabriel Mendoza, who also assisted.
Brown said that Trager untied the rope from the tree while Mendoza untied it from the man’s neck.
“The man collapsed on the ground crying, gasping for air,” said Trager in a statement. “We are relieved that we were able to get him down from the tree in time. It was very sad and shocking.”
The man survived and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and observation.
Brown commended the three prosecutor’s for their quick work in saving the man’s life.
“The assistant district attorneys in this office do a tremendous job each day of seeking justice for victims of crimes, but these three prosecutors went above and beyond the call of duty by stepping in to save a man who was obviously distraught and in desperate need,” he said. “I am extremely proud of their actions.”

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Firefox.
I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility
but I figured I’d post to let you know. The design look great though!
Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Cheers
