A missing teen boy has been found safe after the help of a community’s efforts and an alerted PC Richards security guard.

Sixteen-year-old Kyle Hoffmaier, who has a borderline autism spectrum disorder, went missing last Friday after getting into an argument with his father. The teen, who is from Kips Bay, caught the attention of the security guard after he spent over 15 minutes in the store’s bathroom. The security guard then saw the postings for the missing boy on Facebook and alerted police.

Hoffmaier was eventually found at a nearby subway station. Previous to Wednesday, Hoffmaier was spotted at the Port Authority on Tuesday and on the 4 train. He was reunited with his family on Wednesday.
