Local pols and CB6 team up for Toy Drive

With the holidays coming to an end, the Forest Hills community has certainly stepped up by helping those in need. In fact, Council Member Karen Koslowitz assisted Community Board 6 and Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi with a toy drive for children with special needs.
Donations from the toy drive went to the Interdisciplinary Center for Child Development (ICCD). They recently visited the center to hand out the presents to children.
“The ICCD was founded in 1985, and is dedicated to providing a unique, innovative and enhanced educational environment for young children, some with special developmental needs, so that they can grow and learn together,” said Koslowitz in a press release. “I was pleased to join my colleagues, Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, and Queens Community Board #6 District Manager Frank Gulluscio in providing smiles to these deserving children during the Holiday Season.”
