Chef Melanie Underwood to visit B&N this Thursday

Do you love a good, mouthwatering cheesecake?

On Thursday, Sept. 17, chef Melanie Underwood will host a discussion and signing of her cookbook “Making Artisan Cheesecake: Expert Techniques for Classic and Creative Recipes” at Forest Hill’s Barnes & Noble at 70-00 Austin Street at 6:30 pm.

Her book uncovers delicious recipes such as Maple Macadamia Cheesecake, Goat Cheese Cheesecake with Honey & Lavender, Hot Chocolate Cheesecake, Mascarpone & Raspberry Cheesecake, Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake and even more savory flavor options like Roasted Tomato with Parmesan Cheesecake.

Underwood’s cooking skills have been featured on ‘The Today Show’ as well as on ‘Live with Regis and Kelly.’ Underwood is an instructor at the Institute for Culinary Education. She also tastes and develops recipes for corporate clients such as Sara Lee, Folgers Coffee and Kraft Foods.
