Dear Editor,

Dr. Howard Zucker, New York State’s health commissioner, told lawmakers that reports about lack of protective gear weren't facts.

Then why were nurses wearing garbage bags in photographs sent out to the media at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic? This was a statement that they needed PPE.

Who is telling the truth? In my opinion, I believe these dedicated nurses.
