Thousands packed into the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing for tennis lessons, practice viewing, the Grounds Festival and the Stadium Show inside Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Chart-topping artists such as Austin Mahone, Max, Jagmac and Ava Max hit the stage to perform their latest singles. Blanco Brown, JD McCrary, Arnstar and Meg Donnelly kept the crowd entertained with a series of dance steps and the Git Up Challenge, which former US Open champion Novak Djokovic happily took part in.
Meanwhile, Sloane Stephens joined Rafael Nadal, Coco Gauff and Bob and Mike Bryan to toss out autographed tennis balls to the audience.
Proceeds from Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day benefit the USTA Foundation which helps fund the National Junior Tennis & Learning Network. The NJTL provides free or low-cost tennis, education and life-skills programming to more than 225,000 children each year, and was founded 50 years ago by Arthur Ashe, along with Charlie Pasarell and Sheridan Snyder.
