The Queens Chamber of Commerce celebrated 100 years of doing business in the borough this past weekend, throwing a black-tie gala to revel in the century that was, as well as look forward to the century to come.

The event was held at Terrace on the Park on Saturday evening, and attended by close to 700 people. Borough entrepreneurs and industry bigs rubbed elbows with elected officials past and present during a cocktail hour before heading to dinner, where speeches, awards, and prizes were delivered.

The event is the culmination of a year's worth of events aimed at celebrating the centennial of the borough's largest business organization. In addition to the chamber's annual roster of trade shows and networking events, this year the group reached out to even more Queens businesses in an effort to grow its membership rather than rest on its laurels.
