Dear Editor,

As a Catholic, I would like to applaud Pope Francis and his stand on same-sex unions, stating "homosexuals have a right to be part of a family." I totally agree.

Pope Francis believes no one should be thrown out of the church because of who they love. We all must realize that children are involved in those relationships.

I rented a room in the 1970's from two gay men who loved one another and wanted to be married and adopt children.

Remember that Matthew 7:1 states "stop judging, that you may not be judged."
